Attendees must be fully vaccinated by the date of their first day of attending the Annual Meeting or associated Annual Meeting venues. Full vaccination status is defined as having finished your vaccine, whether that's one dose or two. All WHO approved vaccinations will be accepted. AADOCR reminds you it can take up to six weeks to complete the full schedule for COVID-19 vaccines that require two doses. Please plan accordingly.
Please note that proof of vaccination will be required for all in-person meeting attendees prior to picking up their registration badge in Portland.
The vaccines that are required are:
A 2-dose series of an mRNA COVID-19 vaccine (Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna or Novavax), or
A single-dose COVID-19 vaccine Johnson & Johnson's Janssen vaccine).
Boosters
The Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna (COVID-19 mR NA) and Novavax vaccines are preferred. As of January 5, 2022, the CDC is now recommending you stay up-to -date with your vaccines. This includes additional doses.
For individuals who are immunocompromised or booster doses.
Attendees should be aware that, while AADOCR will make every effort to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission on site, it is possible that attendees will come in contact with people In airports, hotels, and around the convention center who could potentially carry the virus, which is why AADOCR is requiring attendees to be fully vaccinated for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.
All AADOCR staff working at the meeting will be fully vaccinated; however, AADOCR is not legally able to require local convention center or hotel staff to be vaccinated. AADOCR is working with local entities in Portland to develop on site protocols in accordance with CDC guidelines, including requiring all local convention center staff to wear masks during the AADOCR meeting.
Prior to arriving to the AADOCR registration area, attendees will be asked to provide proof that they are fully vaccinated with a vaccine approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or the World Health Organization (WHO) by showing a vaccine card or photo of vaccine verification at Security Checkpoints.
Please be sure to travel with a copy of your vaccine verification card or a photo of the vaccine verification with your name.
AADOCR/CADR reserves the right to require documentation or verification of vaccination as part of the registration process and participation in the Annual Meeting & Exhibition. The AADOCR and CADR are partnering with a third-party company to verify vaccination status and to ensure that privacy protocols are implemented throughout the verification process. Details on providing vaccine verification will be available on our website in the coming weeks.
