This grant will recognize original research by new investigators and is designed to stimulate basic research in all dental research disciplines. One grant per year will be awarded in the amount of $10,000 that must be put towards the candidate’s post-doctoral research, establishment of their laboratories, the completion of a research project, or preparing research for publication.
Eligibility
The candidate must be within 10 years of completing his/her last terminal degree (PhD, DDS, DMD, MD, etc.) at the time of the submission deadline.
Researchers carrying out original research are eligible for the award if they have been the primary author of no more than three articles published in refereed scientific journals.
Candidate must be an AADOCR member.
Funding
The grant is funded by an endowment of the AADOCR through the generous donations of its members. One grant per year will be awarded in the amount of $10,000 that must be put towards the candidate’s post-doctoral research, establishment of their laboratories, the completion of a research project or preparing research for publication. As part of the terms of the grant, the award recipient must: 1) submit a report within 12 months of receipt of the award which describes the results of the progress achieved as a result of the grant award; and 2) attend the AADOCR Annual Meeting & Exhibition in the year in which the award is made.
